Happy Birthday to my punk-ass baby bro! (who is way more rad than his lame class webpage indicates) (K, you'll be pleased to know he's working at WIUS and will have a bigger role next semester) My fave press quote of his: "What sucks about Indiana is that we make our mediocrity an acceptable punchline. It is not acceptable to me that we are perceived nationally as a state of corn-fed yahoos, that our school system ranks among the worst in the country, that our police have a nationwide reputation for brutality and that even with the 12th largest metropolitan population in the country, we are a second- or third-class art community." Heh. I miss him.
Speaking of the midwest, an Indiana town has won a Jefferson muzzle award for free speech censorship.
Zarbet has purchased a logic analyzer*. I think that some writers and politicians would be well-served to have one of these around to analyze their arguments. ;)
Lions and tigers and planes, oh my!

Insomnia killed the blog star...but anyway, Guy, I don't see any griddles here, but maybe you could make one into a fried egg.* Hyuk hyuk. Et, pour toi aussi, is protest music dead? Mucho thanks for the info* about Fri, but what exactly are "scratching tablas"?
A co-worker quietly slid a photocopy of an interview with John Waters on my desk yesterday. I have no idea why. But in it, he says his favorite quote is "You're so September 10th." Heh. He also says what he likes most about himself is his "inner filth." I'd say it's pretty external.

i'm happy to see that Y2Khai is working on a new video... i mean, khai and juice and ain't nothin' but a khai thing were good, but come on, the guy's gotta stay current.
the germans love david hasselhoff, apparently. here's my vote for the worst music video ever created.
the republican national committee just sent me a membership card -- this plastic, embossed, platinum-card-looking thing. wtf? i guess it's their whole "aspirational recruitment" strategy: fool people into thinking that card-carrying republicanism is akin to having really good credit.

tinklesauce. A google search turns up nothing, meaning that once it indexes this blog, you will have ass-backwardsly created a googlewhack! Congrats, brilliant boy!
Some screwed-up environmental news...I'd heard of some of these elements separately, but not together.
Anyway, I cannot do this. But our teacher can. (recent pix of yummy chick for a certain belly-lusting rabbit, and any others who may appreciate such things, such as the drooling alura and Romi) (I was describing certain forms of bellydancing to Jonathan tonight and he said wait, wait, slow down, let me get the vaseline*...ha ha)

is it halloween yet? wow... i slept through the summer... geez. if i were still at dv, i'd be in las vegas this week, and this is what i'd be looking at.
agreed that cocaine addiction is generally good to motivate the workforce. here at nas, if we didn't find traces of coke in the tinklesauce, then no second interview, no way.
felix of chicago designed this: a flash player that composes its melody based on the sequence of digits in pi.

A new book on censorship of journalists who challenge corporate power is coming out. And is this an encouraging sign of greater revolt towards chain practices? Will consumer power ever be strong enough to fight that? I guess that's what journalists are for, to make people aware. Speaking of brands, Bjork went corporate...almost. ;)

the trip to san fran has been postponed. (lj, let's chat about when a good time for you would be, so i can buy a decently priced ticket.) apparently, i've been stationed all this time in some place called "grad school" - unbeknownst to me - which requires a "boot-camp-like drill" at the end of the semester. plus, my sis is graduating on the 3rd, which would cut my trip off prior to our grand trip to LA. so instead i'm gonna shoot for 10-14 days out west, sometime in may would be divine. let me know, sister-roller. . .(sorry, i'm not sending this via email, as this is obviously a one-way street, but i'm lazy, and i like the official-ity of these blogger encounters: Said. Posted. Done.)
